Cancer risk and mortality in hospitalised patients with idiopathic inflammatory myopathies in Western Australia

CONCLUSION: Cancer risk is not increased prior to IIM, but CIR for lung cancer is increased following DM diagnosis. As cancer reduced survival only in DM and IBM patients, these data support a strategy of limited cancer screening in IIM.PMID:38302176 | DOI:10.3899/jrheum.2023-1044
