Prevalence of strabismus in premature infants in an age-related perspective

CONCLUSIONS: The frequency of strabismus occurrence among preterm infants has increased by ages 3-8 years. Strabismus, structural changes of eye at ages 6 months - 3 years increases the risk of strabismus at ages 3-8 years. Anisometropia and amblyopia increase in the risk of strabismus, higher visual acuity decreases risk of strabismus.PMID:38295358 | DOI:10.1177/11206721241229315
