Letter to the Editor regarding “Efficacy of adjuvant dexmedetomidine on penile block for pediatric hypospadias repair.”

With great interest we read the recent article by Khosravi and colleagues [1], in which addition of dexmedetomidine to a local anesthetic solution improved postoperative analgesic efficacy of single-injection dorsal penile nerve block (DPNB) in pediatric patients undergoing hypospadias repair surgery. In addition to the limitations described in the discussion, however, we noticed several questions on methodology and results of this study.
