Labour induction with misoprostol: How do BMI and gestational weight gain influence the outcome?
Introduction and aimsof the study: The surfacing evidence in favour of elective labour induction (LI) at 39 weeks-gestation is accompanied by concerns about its effectiveness in obese women. Current evidence suggests a positive correlation between obesity and failed LI, and between excessive gestational weight gain (GWG) and cesarean after LI.
