Ovarian carcinosarcoma spread limited to the hernial sac.

Background and objectives: Ovarian carcinosarcoma (OCS) is a very rare tumor composed of a mixture of both carcinomatous and sarcomatous elements. Detection rate is approximately 1% of all women with ovarian tumors. It is characterized by fast and aggressive growth. OCS biology is still poorly known. Most cases are diagnosed at the advanced stage with a five-year survival rate of less than 20%.
