Rate of exclusive breastfeeding at discharge in latvia through years of covid-19 pandemic and associated sociodemographic and in-hospital factors: Results from the imagine euro study

Introduction and aims of the study: Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is the ideal nourishment for infants. WHO recommends initiation of breastfeeding within the first hour of birth and EBF for the first 6 months of life due to its benefits both for the mother and infant, therefore breastfeeding support in facilities is crucial. The aim of this study is to compare the rate of self-reported EBF at facility discharge through the first years of COVID-19 pandemic and associated factors women faced in healthcare institutions.
