Does detection of S.aureus and resistance to antistaphylococcal drugs in blood cultures of hospitalized patients for infected atopic dermatitis change the hospitalization profile?
S.aureus infection is a constant complication in patients with Atopic Dermatitis (AD) and leads to hospitalizations and use of broad-spectrum antibiotics (AB). We hypothesized that the detection of S.aureus in blood cultures (BC) and the pattern of antimicrobial resistance in patients hospitalized for infected AD impacts their clinical and laboratory parameters.
