Genetic Factors Predicting in the Development of Asthma in the Kazakh Population

Asthma has high morbidity and substantial risk of mortality worldwide, including Kazakhstan. The incidence of asthma in the Republic of Kazakhstan per 100,000 population over the past 10 years has increased by almost 3 fold (43.9 in 2011, 126.1 in 2020). Asthma is a disease with a pronounced hereditary predisposition. In various ethnic groups, the genes responsible for the incidence of asthma and associated morbidity differ. Assessment of the genetic characteristics of asthma might allow better prediction of disease course and selection of personalized therapy.
