65. Contraceptive Counseling and Prescribing as Pediatric Core Competencies: Assessing Residents ’ Comfort and Knowledge
The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requires that pediatric residents develop key competencies in Adolescent Medicine, including contraception counseling and prescribing. Previously published surveys of pediatric providers have shown that knowledge of appropriate contraception differs based on level of training and is not often up to date with the latest guidance. The primary goal of this study was to understand resident knowledge and comfort with counseling and prescribing contraception methods.
