Megastigmanes and Flavonoids from Seeds of Hippophae rhamnoides

Phytochemical investigation of the seeds fromHippophae rhamnoides L. led to the isolation of a new megastigmane, named (6S,9R)-9-hydroxy-4,7-megastigmadien-3-one-9-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1 →6)-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), together with its spatial heterogeneity which is a known megastigmane (2). Compounds3 –13 are flavonoid glycosides, 9 compounds (2,5 –12) of which were isolated from theH. rhamnoides for the first time. Their structures were proposed through HR-ESI-MS,1H, and13C NMR data interpretation.
