The Interplay Of Hemodynamics: A Complicated Case Of Mitral Valve-in-valve And Neo-LVOT Obstruction With Cardiogenic Shock

Bioprosthetic mitral valve stenosis may precipitate pulmonary edema and right ventricular (RV) failure due to elevated left atrial pressure and post-capillary pulmonary hypertension. A transcatheter mitral valve-in-valve (MVIV) procedure is a feasible option to alleviate these complications for patients who are not candidates for re-do surgery. Herein, an intricate case of cardiogenic shock with neo-LVOT obstruction and biventricular failure from MVIV is discussed.
