One-year Outcomes Of Patients With HFrEF Followed At A Multidisciplinary Heart Failure Clinic In The Middle East: HFimpEF Vs. Persistent HFrEF

Guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) plays a pivotal role in myocardial recovery for patients with HFrEF and translates to reduced morbidity and mortality. A subset of HFrEF patients can transition to HF with improved ejection fraction (HFimpEF). Currently, there is a paucity of data on the characteristics of patients transitioning to HFimpEF, especially from the Middle East region. We aim to present the characteristics and outcomes of patients with HFrEF referred to our HF clinic and present characteristics of those who became HFimpEF at 1-year follow-up.
