ConclusionsPoor sleep quality is significantly associated with elevated rates of maternal mood disturbances, obstetric complications, and adverse outcomes in infants. The findings suggest that it may be useful to provide comprehensive sleep assessment and education on sleep hygiene during the early stages of pregnancy.
