Risk factors for hypogammaglobulinemia and association with relapse and severe infections in ANCA-associated vasculitis: A cohort study

CONCLUSION: Older age, low gammaglobulin levels and pulses of methylprednisolone at induction increase the likelihood of gammaglobulin decline after induction therapy. Such decline was associated with an increased risk of severe infections but not lower risk of vasculitis relapse. Pulses of methylprednisolone at induction had an independent negative impact on gammaglobulin levels and the risk of severe infections.PMID:37956529 | DOI:10.1016/j.jaut.2023.103130
