Time-restricted feeding and Alzheimer's disease: you are when you eat

Trends Mol Med. 2023 Oct 21:S1471-4914(23)00239-3. doi: 10.1016/j.molmed.2023.10.004. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTTime-restricted feeding (TRF) has emerged as a means of synchronizing circadian rhythms, which are commonly disrupted in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Whittaker et al. demonstrate that TRF exerts protective effects in two mouse models of AD. We discuss the effects of TRF on brain health and mechanisms linking TRF to neurodegeneration.PMID:37872024 | DOI:10.1016/j.molmed.2023.10.004
