The prognostic potential of CDX2 in colorectal cancer: harmonizing biology and clinical practice

According to the Global Cancer Observatory, colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third-most common cancer type and the second-most cancer-related cause of death worldwide. Clinical management of CRC is guided by the Tumor-Node-metastasis (TNM) AJCC/UICC classification [1 –3]. However, about 30% of CRC patients will experience disease relapse [4].
