55.1 Evolving Understanding of Female and Young Adult Profile in Tourette's Disorder

Tourette ’s disorder is prototypically thought to onset in young childhood and to disproportionately affect males over females. Previous studies suggest that tic symptoms improve in later adolescence and adulthood. Data on the phenomenology and impact of Tourette’s disorder in females and young adults is scant. This presentation will highlight the clinical presentations and research on Tourette’s disorder in females and young adults.
