The relationship between lateral hip muscle morphology and hip-related quality of life in active young adults with hip/groin pain

Introduction: Hip/groin pain is a chronic condition that can impact daily life and sports participation. Identifying modifiable factors to help manage symptoms and improve outcomes is crucial. Recent research suggests that lateral hip muscle morphology (size and quality) can impact on optimal hip function and pain presentation. However, the association between hip muscle morphology and hip-related quality of life (QoL) in active young adults with hip/groin pain is unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the size and level of fatty infiltrate of lateral hip muscles with hip-related QoL measures in active young adults with hip/groin pain.
