Hip contact forces during walking in football players with and without hip/groin pain
Introduction: Evidence highlights that people with established joint pathology (i.e., hip osteoarthritis) adopt movement strategies to reduce joint loading. However, it is unknown whether lower joint loading is present in individuals early in the disease continuum (e.g., young people with hip/groin pain). We sought to compare hip contact forces (HCFs) during walking between football players with and without hip/groin pain.
