Sildenafil Intoxication Can Be Complicated by Seizures and an Increase in Creatine Kinase

We read with interest the article by Kim et  al. about a 61-year-old man with sildenafil intoxication from taking 1500 mg sildenafil with suicidal intent (1). The intoxication manifested itself clinically with multiple embolic strokes and an increase in creatine kinase (CK), which was interpreted as rhabdomyolysis (1). Symptoms, such as conf usion, drowsiness, palpitations, dysarthria, and dizziness, occurred 1 h after taking sildenafil (1). In the case of multiple embolic strokes, the patient received acetylsalicylic acid plus clopidogrel (1).
