Letter to the Editor Regarding “The Long Tail of COVID-19: Implications for the Future of Emergency Nursing”
It was a pleasure to read the exploratory study of Heidi et al1 on emergency nurse perceptions of psychological trauma during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and the mechanisms used by nurses to build resilience. It is accepted that COVID-19 affects all bodily systems, as well as social life and mental health. The World Health Organization considered the pandemic to be a highly significant threat to the global public health, thus placing enormous pressure on health care systems.
