An Atypical Short RP Tachycardia – What is the Mechanism?

A 73 year-old man with recurrent, symptomatic supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) had undergone right-sided slow pathway (SP) ablation for a reported diagnosis of atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) at another institution. Because of persistent symptoms despite metoprolol therapy, he underwent repeat electrophysiologic study.
