Interventional Approaches to Augment Pharmacotherapy in Heart Failure

Heart Failure (HF) morbidity and mortality remain high, exacting an enormous toll on both patients and health care systems globally. Over the last decade, marked advances in our understanding of HF pathophysiology and phenotypes have led to novel pharmacologic options for patients with both HF with reduced ejection fraction and HF with preserved ejection fraction.1,2 Many efforts are underway to improve uptake of guideline-directed medical therapy with the potential to meaningfully impact patient outcomes.
