Age And Sex Distribution Of Left Ventricular Mass Index Measured On Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography And Its Association With Mortality Risk

Introduction: Left ventricular (LV) mass is a well-established prognostic indicator for cardiovascular disease risk. LV mass can be measured on coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA), regardless of mode of acquisition or phase of the cycle imaged; however, its measurement and reporting are considered optional. We aimed to establish the associations between LV mass measured on CCTA with all-cause mortality (ACM) risk and to determine age and sex-specific distribution of LV myocardial mass.
