Sudomotor deficits in Parkinson's disease with special reference to motor subtypes

Patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) may exhibit various autonomic impairments, such as orthostatic hypotension, constipation, dysuria, impotence and sweating deficits [1 –3]. While motor symptoms diminish the ability of patients with condition to perform activities of daily living, autonomic symptoms deteriorate their quality of life [4]. Sudomotor function in PD has been studied, but the results yielded by the prior research have been inconsistent, possibly due t o variances in the investigative methods or sample size.
