In addition to training the next generation of business, technological and medical leaders, there is a need to train the next generation of Indian thinkers on foreign policy and security issues. India is playing an increasingly-active role in regional and global affairs, as evidenced, for example, by evacuating citizens from Yemen and providing much-needed assistance to Nepal following a devastating earthquake in April 2015. As India increases its regional and global engagement, the rising generation of Indian leaders will benefit from access to focused security studies.
