Urticaria Multiforme

A 12-month-old girl presented to the emergency department with a 4-day history of a pruritic rash over her face, torso, and extremities along with 1-day of fever and swelling of the face and extremities. The child was initially diagnosed with an allergic reaction and subsequently erythema multiforme. She received diphenhydramine and antibiotics without improvement. One week prior to the onset of the rash, the child received her 6-month catch-up immunizations. Physical examination revealed generalized annular, erythematous wheals with dusky centers.
