School-Based Interventions to Promote Equity and Improve Health, Academic Achievement, and Well-Being of Students

Funding to protect and improve the health and well-being of school-age children and adolescents in underserved and disproportionately affected communities. Projects should increase physical activity, healthy dietary behaviors, and self-management of chronic health conditions among students and implement strategies and activities at the school level that promote student and staff health. Projects should also address social determinants of health and reach populations such as racial/ethnic minority students, students receiving free and reduced lunch, students of lower socioeconomic status, and those who live in rural/sparsely populated areas.
