User experiences with intrathecal baclofen treatment in a hospital setting

Conclusion: Time spend on transport was exhausting for patients. Most caregivers had difficulties prioritizing the escort of patients and did not understand the importance of their information. Home visits was a relief for both patients and caregivers and the nurse practitioners got a new insight into the patients ’ everyday life.Implication for practice: There is a need for rethinking solutions for patients who receive recurrent treatment which depend on the exact information from caregivers. The nurse practitioners felt home visits is a good solution if it is possible in an organizational way instead of seeing patients at the hospital. Published on 2022-11-04 00:00:00
