Short-term association of PM2.5/PM10 on lung cancer mortality in Wuhai city, China (2015–2019): a time series analysis

Conclusion Short-term exposure to PM2.5/PM10 was correlated with a higher risk of lung cancer death in Wuhai, particularly among men and the elderly (>65 years old). Exposure to PM2.5/PM10 really does have a bigger effect on the population during the warm season. Moreover, it is essential that health administration departments should strengthen their regulatory mechanisms for particulate emissions and take the responsibility for safeguarding the vulnerable populations.
