An interview with Hugo Negron, author of Forging of a Knight

And this week we’re welcoming Hugo Negron to the Thursday Throng. He is and author and nn avid fan of myths and fantasy. His background includes an M.A. in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University as well as an M.A. in industrial/organizational psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  In addition, he’s an amateur cartoonist, having taken classes at the Art Institute of Chicago. The Hugo Negron Interview What is one thing that no-one would usually know about you? Beyond my passion for HP Lovecraft  (most people I mention this author to usually give me a polite “Umm…okayyy…” in response, and then either quickly run to another topic of conversation or just plain run away), the fact that back in my early 20’s, I once took a year of fencing lessons, going from an epee to a sabre. If that wasn’t prophetic of my future writing about sword-wielding knights, then I don’t know what is. What did the best review you ever had say about you and your work? “…a very impressive achievement indeed with the plus points being the rousing of your imagination by Negron’s storytelling and his usage of his characters.” I was humbled indeed by this review for the first book in my series.  If a reader can become lost in my work, absorbed by the story and enmeshed with the characters, then I did my job.
