Retrospective Assessment of Endodontically Treated Teeth Replaced by Dental Implants
This study investigated endodontically treated teeth that were replaced by dental implants at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. The primary objective of this study was to determine the reasons leading to the extraction of endodontically treated teeth and their subsequent replacement with dental implants. The secondary objective was to evaluate the proportion of these teeth that, according to experienced endodontists, could have been preserved. (Source: Journal of Endodontics)

A Case of Respiratory Epithelium-lined Cyst with Enriched Nociceptor Innervation
This report demonstrates an unusual case in which tooth #15 was initially treated with non-surgical root canal therapy. Still, the patient remained in moderate to severe pain for several days following the procedure. (Source: Journal of Endodontics)

The Effect of Master Apical Preparation Size on Healing Outcomes in Endodontic Treatment: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
The aim of this systematic review was to assess the existing literature and examine whether or not the size of apical enlargement during mechanical preparation affects the outcome of treatment in patients undergoing non-surgical root canal therapy (NSRCT). (Source: Journal of Endodontics)

Impact of Sequential Use of Reciprocating Files on the Shaping Load during Root Canal Treatment
The purpose of this in-vitro study was to investigate the apical and coronal loads generated during shaping canals with 2 successive reciprocating files in comparison to a single reciprocating file from the same system. (Source: Journal of Endodontics)

Effect of EDTA activation on blood clot structure in regenerative endodontics: A scanning electron microscopy study
EDTA plays a crucial role in regenerative endodontic therapy (RET) due to its significant biological effects. However, EDTA is also recognized as the preferred anticoagulant for hematological tests. Thus, this study aimed to assess the influence of different EDTA activation techniques on the morphology of blood clots, after conditioning the root canal dentin. (Source: Journal of Endodontics)
