*APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE FOR THE LONG POST BUT WOULD DESPERATELY APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE* HI all! A little about me: - 4th year veterinary student at University of Pennsylvania (...yes, I'm a PennWe). - Came into vet school knowing that I wanted to pursue a surgical residency, but was unsure whether I wanted to do small or large animal. - More actively pursued large animal surgery options during vet school (externships, summer research, volunteering, etc.) because I am a horse girl and... which offer to accept? 1st gen, any advice appreciated!
I've been really fortunate to be accepted to 3 PsyD programs. I am the only one in my family to attend college, so I don't have much guidance/people to talk to about higher education advice. I'd really appreciate any input/advice given! I want to make sure I am weighing different aspects of each program correctly. I want to work in clinical therapy and eventually do something with forensic psych. 3 Acceptances: Indiana State University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Immaculata University... Question about SMP GPA
I am a pre-med student in a special masters program (SMP). My undergraduate GPA is low for med school standards (cumulative GPA = 3.47, science GPA 3.26) but my graduate GPA is a 4.0. I got a 514 on the MCAT I was looking at MSAR and saw some schools that said they do not consider post-bacc GPA for students with low undergraduate GPAs. Some of these schools include Indiana University, Buffalo, Loyola, Mayo, University of Pennsylvania, Vermont, Brown, and University of Massachusetts... Read more (Source: Student Doctor Network)

Are PsyD program concentrations/emphasis areas important if I'm interested in neuropsychology?
I've been accepted into 3 PsyD programs: University of Indianapolis, Spalding University, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Spalding has a new neuropsychology concentration/emphasis area (as a result they are accepting 40 students). Are concentrations like these important when looking at becoming boarded, or would I be able to take the required classes without a concentration if my university does not have a specific concentration in neuropsych (such as... Advice for Glide Year Employment
Hello! I am a nontraditional applicant who is finishing a post bac degree at the University of Pennsylvania this year. In addition to taking classes, I also work at UPenn full time and will be completing my second year of employment this December! Since I will be finishing my certificate in April and taking the MCAT in May, I was interested in working in another city, since I have been in Philadelphia my whole life and I feel ready for a more challenging job.
