Is neuro-ophthalmology a subspecialty worth considering?
M4 here, just submitted my residency app for neuro. I don't know much about neuro-ophthalmology and info on it seems relatively sparse compared to other neuro subspecialties... Is it a subspecialty worth considering today? What exactly do they do day to day? What does the field's future look like? Do they do any kinds of surgeries or procedures? Thinking about med school, need advice.
Hello. I am seriously considering med school but I am looking for advice and others in a similar situation. I currently work at NASA, I have an aerospace engineering degree from the University of Texas. My GPA was not the best, 3.1. The day before I was to go to college in 2009 I found out that I had trigeminal schwannoma. I withdrew from college, had two surgeries to remove the tumor, and returned to college the next semester.
