CONCLUSION: Findings partially supported the discussion emphasizing that attachment transmission, as well as the mediating role of maternal sensitivity on this transmission, appeared to be weaker for disadvantaged mother-child dyads. Implications for future intervention programs aiming to support the attachment security and reduce the disorganization of children co-residing with their incarcerated mothers are discussed.PMID:37724643 | DOI:10.5080/u26647

The Mediating Role of Early Maladaptive Schemas in the Relationship between Temperament and Depressive Symptoms
CONCLUSION: The findings supported the idea suggested by the schema theory that the temperament traits affect EMSs. We believe that these findings can support studies towards depression-prevention as well as the treatment of depressive individuals. Even without interfering with temperament characteristics of individuals, depressive symptoms might be reduced by working only with some of the EMSs.PMID:37724642 | DOI:10.5080/u26316

CONCLUSION: The coccidian entomopathogen presented in this study is the first Adeleid coccidian record from P. interpunctella populations in Türkiye. The detection of Adelina mesnili Perez (Coccidia: Adeleidae) in at least three populations and the infection rate reaching 29.2 percent, confirms that this pathogen has a considerable effect P. interpunctella populations that cannot be underestimated. Our results confirm that the coccidian pathogen is very effective in the larval stage.PMID:37724363 | DOI:10.4274/tpd.galenos.2023.53824

Study on the Therapeutic Effect of Coconut Oil Extracts as An Alternative Medicinal Plant in < em > Cryptosporidium < /em > Infected Mice
CONCLUSION: The present study has opened fresh avenues for development of natural therapy like coconut oil extracts, which have a potential therapeutic efficacy against Cryptosporidiosis. That was confirmed by different methodologies, parasitological examination, histopathological examination, and immunohistochemical assays. It paves the way for being a promising anti-parasitic agent for infection eradication. However, further studies are still required to gain more knowledge about different coconut extracts in order to reach the best treatment efficacy.PMID:37724361 | DOI:10.4274/tpd.galenos.2023.22932

Development and Sensitivity Determination of < em > 18S rRNA < /em > Gene-specific Fast Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) Assay for Rapid Detection of < em > Acanthamoeba < /em >
CONCLUSION: It has been demonstrated that the LAMP assay designed by targeting 18S rRNA gene of Acanthamoeba has a detection limit of 1 pg of genomic DNA. It is promising that LAMP test is more sensitive and faster than culture method, as well as simple, inexpensive and highly sensitive. For this reason, it is thought that developed test can be applied in the diagnosis of Acanthamoeba in environmental and clinical samples.PMID:37724360 | DOI:10.4274/tpd.galenos.2023.46362
