One-Stop Hybrid Coronary Revascularization Versus Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
Int Heart J. 2022;63(3):441-446. doi: 10.1536/ihj.21-705.ABSTRACTOne-stop hybrid coronary revascularization (HCR) is a promising revascularization strategy for treating multivessel coronary artery disease (MVCAD). However, its safety and feasibility remain controversial. Therefore, we introduced our experience with midterm follow-up of HCR in patients with MVCAD and compared it with conventional off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).Patients with MVCAD undergoing one-stop HCR at Beijing Chaoyang Hospital between March 2018 and December 2020 were retrospectively enrolled. These patients were matched in a 1:2 ratio...

Outcome after percutaneous coronary intervention with contemporary stents in patients with concomitant peripheral arterial disease: A patient-level pooled analysis of four randomized trials
CONCLUSIONS: A history of symptomatic PAD still allows to simply identify patients with increased risk of unfavorable clinical outcome after PCI, including a higher risk of repeated coronary revascularization, despite using contemporary stents. In clinical practice, this knowledge about higher event risks of PAD patients is helpful both during Heart Team discussions and when informing patients about the procedural risk.PMID:35641327 | DOI:10.1016/j.atherosclerosis.2022.05.002

COVID-19 induced ischemic stroke and mechanisms of viral entry in brain and clot formation: a systematic review and current update
Conclusion: Data available in the literature is not adequate to come to a conclusion. Therefore, there is a need to carry out further studies to delineate the possible association between SCV-2 induced IS.PMID:35412938 | DOI:10.1080/00207454.2022.2056460
