The relationship between plasma homocysteine levels and MTHFR gene variation, age, and sex in Northeast China
Conclusion: High plasma homocysteine levels were linked to the MTHFR gene mutation. In addition, plasma homocysteine levels increased significantly with age with male's homocysteine levels higher than that of females.

Clinical observation in edaravone treatment for acute cerebral infarction
Conclusion: Edaravone can significantly improve the degree of neurological impairment during acute cerebral infarction, functional movement, and living quality with a definite effect and high safety. Thus, this drug has a good prospect in clinical treatment.

Urban-rural comparisons in health risk factor, health status and outcomes in Tianjin, China: A cross-sectional survey (2009-2013).
CONCLUSION: Contrary to Australian urban-rural survey outcomes, the health status and outcomes of residents in rural areas of Tianjin seemed to be better than those of their counterparts in urban areas. Could monocyte level/HDL cholesterol ratio predict cardiovascular diseases in patients with COPD ?
Conclusion: MHR is significantly associated with CVD in COPD patients. Further prospective studies are warranted to elucidate the predictive value of MHR in COPD patients.

HRSA Awards over $12.7 Million to Programs Enhancing Health Care Delivery to Rural Underserved Populations
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced $12.7 million in funding to 61 recipients serving rural communities across 35 states as part of its community-based Rural Health Care Services Outreach Program (Outreach Program). Funding will support the Healthy Rural Hometown Initiative (HRHI) to address rural health disparities related to heart disease, cancer, unintentional injury, chronic lower respiratory disease, and stroke.

Aging in a rural area in southern Brazil: designing a prospective cohort study
CONCLUSION: With a reasonable follow-up rate, it was possible to transform a cross-sectional study into a prospective cohort study.
