Burden of disease of chronic pain in Ecuador
CONCLUSIONS: Chronic pain is an important source of burden of disease. It is comparable to other important causes such as headaches, stroke, diabetes and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, among others. TCD screening and spending among children with sickle cell anemia
CONCLUSIONS: Among privately insured children with sickle cell anemia, fewer than half received annual TCD screening. Out-of-pocket spending exceeded $100 for 27% of TCD screens.
