Warfarin-induced isolated spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage: Rare case report
CONCLUSION: Warfarin is rarely associated with isolated subarachnoid hemorrhage. This case highlights a young male patient with spontaneous SAH after warfarin therapy for acute ischemic stroke. Aneurysmal rupture and trauma should be excluded before a diagnosis of warfarin-induced SAH is made.PMID:36582886 | PMC:PMC9793204 | DOI:10.1016/j.amsu.2022.104946

Internal carotid artery and bilateral vertebral arteries dissections associated with amphetamine abuse: Case report
We reported the Case of a 40-year-old male patient with chronic amphetamine used since childhood. He had increased the consumption from once a month to every other day in the last year. The patient suffered from acute left-side hemiparesis and neglect. Computed tomography angiography of the brain and neck vessels demonstrated non-atheromatous vasculopathy with a suspected dissection process of the right internal carotid artery and bilateral vertebral arteries. A review of recent data is also provided to clarify the possible mechanism.PMID:34401140 | PMC:PMC8353386 | DOI:10.1016/j.amsu.2021.102676

Is monocyte to HDL ratio superior to monocyte count in predicting the cardiovascular outcomes: evidence from a large cohort of Chinese patients undergoing coronary angiography.
CONCLUSIONS: Our data firstly indicated that MHR was an independent predictor of MACEs whereas the prognostic impact was not superior to MC in patients who underwent coronary angiography. Key Messages MHR has been suggested as a novel prognostic indicator of several cardiovascular diseases. No study is currently available regarding the comparison of MHR to MC in predicting the outcomes in a large cohort of patients undergoing coronary angiography. Our data firstly indicate that MHR is independently associated with MACEs in patients undergoing coronary angiography whereas the prognostic impact is similar to MC. PMID: 27...
