Warfarin-induced isolated spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage: Rare case report
CONCLUSION: Warfarin is rarely associated with isolated subarachnoid hemorrhage. This case highlights a young male patient with spontaneous SAH after warfarin therapy for acute ischemic stroke. Successful use of therapeutic anticoagulation therapy in two patients with moderate stroke from the second day of onset: A case report and literature review
CONCLUSION: As a result of this case report, clinical improvement has not been associated with hemorrhagic sequelae of anticoagulant administration on the first day. Adherence to oral anticoagulation in ischemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation
CONCLUSIONS: Adherence was poor in half of AF patients who survived an ischaemic stroke. Inadequate oral anticoagulation with warfarin in women with cerebrovascular event and history of atrial fibrillation: the FibStroke study.
CONCLUSIONS: OAC was underused in high-risk AF patients, particularly women, but prescribed often in men with low or moderate stroke risk. Reasons for omitting OAC treatment were poorly reported, particularly for women. KEY MESSAGE Women were at higher stroke risk, but were less often treated with oral anticoagulation (OAC).
