Stroke recovery - what are people talking about on Twitter?
Conclusions: Twitter's role as a space for peer-support and motivation amongst survivors was evident, as was its potential for promoting awareness of stroke and its sequalae to the public. Amongst the most prominent aspects of recovery discussed was the psychological impact of stroke, with users expressing difficulty in addressing the emotional sequalae in comparison to the physical aspects. This may be addressed by targeted funding of mental health services, and recognition of the specialised needs of stroke survivors. Association of serum calcium levels with clinical severity of ischemic stroke at the time of admission as defined by NIHSS score: A cross-sectional, observational study
CONCLUSION: Serum ionized calcium certainly plays a role in the pathogenesis of ischemic stroke by influencing the cycle of cytotoxic events that result in ischemic cell death. A case of ischemic stroke and transient thrombocytopenia in a young female following adenoviral vector-based COVID-19 vaccination: Was the association incidental or causal?
We report a 23-year-old healthy female who developed seizures, altered sensorium, and left hemiparesis, 20 days after receiving the first dose of adenoviral vector-based COVID-19 vaccine "Covishield™." The patient had transient thrombocytopenia. The D-dimer level was 2460 ng/mL. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrated occlusion of M2 segment of the middle cerebral artery and cerebral infarction. Platelet factor-4 antibodies level was normal. An Evidence-Based Review of Vitamin D for Common and High-Mortality Conditions
Conclusion:
Prospective studies of vitamin D supplementation demonstrate variable impact on disease specific and patient-oriented outcomes, suggesting a correlation but not a causal relationship between low vitamin D levels and disease pathogenicity. Future research should determine dosing standards and timing of vitamin D in treatment and prevention.

Therapeutic Dilemma of Wake-up Stroke: Clinical and Brain Imaging Characteristics and Reperfusion as a Treatment Option
Conclusions: Only minor dissimilarities between clinical and radiologic features of WUS and clear-onset stroke were found. Circadian patterns of stroke onset were observed in both groups. Stroke was more likely to occur during waking than during sleep, and a diurnal pattern of common occurrence during the morning was documented.
