Maternal cardiac function, uterine artery hemodynamics and natriuretic peptides at 22 ‐24 weeks of gestation and subsequent development of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy
ConclusionsProANP correlated with cardiac output and cardiac work, Nt ‐proBNP with indices of cardiac contractility, and CNP with UtA blood flow and resistance. None of these natriuretic peptides measured at 22‐24 weeks gestation reflected cardiac preload reserve or predicted development of HDP.This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

The severity of vasomotor symptoms and number of menopausal symptoms in postmenopausal women and select clinical health outcomes in the Women's Health Initiative Calcium and Vitamin D randomized clinical trial
This study evaluated whether vasomotor symptom (VMS) severity and number of moderate/severe menopausal symptoms (nMS) were associated with health outcomes, and whether calcium and vitamin D (CaD) modified the risks. Methods: The Women's Health Initiative CaD study was a double blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial, which tested 400 IU of 25-hydroxyvitamin-D and 1,000 mg of calcium per day in women aged 50 to 79 years. This study included 20,050 women (median follow-up of 7 y). The outcomes included hip fracture, colorectal cancer, invasive breast cancer, all-cause mortality, coronary heart disease, stroke, cardi...

Adverse Cardiovascular Events Associated With Female Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery
Objective To evaluate national trends in major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) in female pelvic reconstructive surgery (FPRS). Methods Data from the National Inpatient Sample was used to identify women undergoing FPRS between 2012 and 2016. Demographic, procedural, and comorbidity data were collected. Patients were stratified into those with and without MACCE (defined as all-cause mortality, cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction (MI) and acute ischemic stroke). Descriptive statistics are expressed as medians and interquartile ranges. Pairwise analysis was performed using Wilcoxon rank-s...

Correlation between fetal heart rate evolution patterns and magnetic resonance imaging findings in severe cerebral palsy: a longitudinal study
CONCLUSION: BGT-dominant brain damage accounted for 3/4 of the cases of CP in term or near-term infants, even in prenatal onset cases. Hypoxic-ischaemic insult has a major impact on CP development during the antenatal period.PMID:35007405 | DOI:10.1111/1471-0528.17089

My debilitating endometriosis symptoms – Kate ’ s story
Hi, I’m Kate, 39, married with no children. I had always suffered from heavy and painful periods but this had mostly been managed by taking the combined pill.
