The difficulty of studying race-ethnic stroke rehabilitation disparities in a community.
CONCLUSIONS: Initial agreement from rehabilitation providers to participate in research was excellent, but completion of study related data collection forms was sub-optimal suggesting this approach is not feasible for a future population-based stroke rehabilitation study. Further methods to study post-stroke rehabilitation disparities in communities are needed.

Association between caregiver engagement and patient-reported healthcare utilization after stroke: a mixed-methods study.
Conclusions: Higher rates of healthcare utilization by SSs with engaged CGs may be driven by greater stroke severity and greater need for services. Interestingly, the presence of an engaged CG did not facilitate more care for the SS after adjusting for stroke severity.

A multifaceted continuing professional development intervention to move stroke rehabilitation guidelines into professional practice: A feasibility study.
Conclusion: This study demonstrated the feasibility of assessing the impact of a CPD intervention in stroke rehabilitation uptake and informed the design of a research program aimed at increasing the use of stroke evidence-based rehabilitation interventions.

Physical activity in chronic home-living and sub-acute hospitalized stroke patients using objective and self-reported measures.
CONCLUSIONS: In HOM significantly more steps were performed and higher EE values were measured. However, participation in moderate activities and time spent on therapy were less in HOM. Evaluating PA with quantitative measures is feasible in both chronic home-living and sub-acute hospitalized patients with stroke.

Cost effectiveness of the occupation-based approach for subacute stroke patients: result of a randomized controlled trial.
CONCLUSIONS: The results show that the occupation-based approach is associated with significantly improved QALYs and has potential cost effectiveness, compared with the impairment-based approach.
