Introduction: Diabetes markedly affects the formation and development of intracranial atherosclerosis. Comparison of Prasugrel and Clopidogrel in Thrombotic Stroke Patients with Risk Factors for Ischemic Stroke Recurrence: An Integrated Analysis of PRASTRO-I, PRASTRO-II, and PRASTRO-III
Conclusions: This integrated analysis supports the findings of PRASTRO-III. Prasugrel is a promising treatment that results in a numerical reduction in the composite incidence of ischemic stroke, MI, and death from other vascular causes in patients with ischemic stroke who are at a high risk of stroke recurrence. Clinical Relevance of Computed Tomography Perfusion-Estimated Infarct Volume in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients within the 6-h Therapeutic Time Window
Conclusion: Larger initial infarct volumes are significantly associated with worse clinical outcomes in patients who underwent EVT because of early time window stroke. Furthermore, our study of 6-h data demonstrated that an initial infarction of more than a certain volume might be an independent risk factor for sICH development and poor outcomes even in patients with successful recanalization.
