Unilateral developmental absence of internal carotid artery with contralateral middle cerebral artery occlusion
ConclusionsThis article highlights the importance of screening the head CT on bone window settings in case of the non-visualization of ICA to differentiate congenital absence from a steno-occlusive disease. It also illustrates the role of Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and MR Angiography (MRA) in demonstrating further possible vascular anomalies, structural brain malformations, and collateral circulation.

Isolated atlas-duplication as a manifestation of persistent proatlas: a case report
ConclusionsAtlas-duplication is an exceedingly rare dysplasia of the craniocervical junction that may be found isolated and incidentally. If this variation does not necessarily warrant specific treatment, brain CT angiography is recommended to detect anatomical variations of the vertebral arteries.

Circle of Willis: anatomical variations of configuration. A magnetic resonance angiography study
CONCLUSIONS: Unilateral variations were the most common changes found in CoW configuration. The correct assessment of the CoW configuration may prove useful in the planning and follow-up of brain surgery and interventional procedures, as well as in estimating the prognosis of patients suffering from stroke or other related cerebral vascular events.PMID:34966998 | DOI:10.5603/FM.a2021.0134

Crossed anterior cerebral circulation in the anterior communicating artery complex, first case report with angiographic evidence
ConclusionCerebral diagnostic angiography has become more available and frequent because of the rising in endovascular tools to treat stroke patients. Considering this new variation and others is important to discard pathology.
