Assessment of Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair Using Relay Proximal Scallop: Results of a French Prospective Multicentre Study
CONCLUSION: One year outcomes showed that the Relay proximal scallop stent graft is an acceptable answer to aortic thoracic disease to deal with short proximal landing zones.PMID:37567339 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2023.08.002

Outcomes of Complex Endovascular Treatment of Post-Dissection Aneurysms
CONCLUSION: Complex endovascular repair of chronic post-dissection aneurysms is feasible, but is associated with high rates of re-interventions and non-trivial rates of lack of technical success. More data are needed to evaluate the long term durability of these procedures, and the utility of centralising these complex procedures.PMID:37087065 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2023.04.013

Custom-Made Candy-Plug for Distal False Lumen Occlusion in Aortic Dissection: International Experience
CONCLUSION: This international CP technique experience confirmed its feasibility and low mortality and morbidity. Aortic remodelling and false lumen thrombosis rates were high and support the concept of distal FL occlusion in AD using the CP technique.PMID:36958480 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2023.03.020

Multicentre International Registry of Open Surgical Versus Percutaneous Upper Extremity Access During Endovascular Aortic Procedures
CONCLUSIONS: AF and stroke rates during complex aortic procedures employing UEA are non-negligible. Therefore, selective use of UEA is warranted. Percutaneous access with vessel closure devices is associated with similar complication rates, but more adjunctive endovascular procedures are required to avoid surgical exposure.PMID:36740094 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2023.01.046

Use of Secondary Iliac Branch Devices after Previous Endovascular Abdominal and Thoraco-Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair < sup > † < /sup >
CONCLUSION: Secondary IBD after EVAR is a safe and effective procedure with high technical success and low complication rates. The technique of choice to revascularise the IIA seems to not affect early and follow up results. Long term durability of IBD repair is acceptable with low rates of IIA re-interventions.PMID:36707020 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2023.01.033

Outcomes of upper access with surgical exposure of the axillary artery in fenestrated and branched endovascular aneurysm repair
CONCLUSIONS: Upper access with surgical exposure of the axillary artery is a safe method for antegrade catheterization of fenestrations and branches in complex endovascular aneurysm repair.PMID:35963515 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2022.07.052

Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Physician Modified Endografts for Treatment of Thoraco-Abdominal and Complex Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms
CONCLUSION: Physician modified fenestrated or branched grafts for endovascular aortic repair seems feasible and safe in the short-term follow-up. However, the quality of the available data is low which highlights the need for better and more accurate data regarding this technique.PMID:35483575 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2022.04.015

Extending Aortic Replacement Beyond the Proximal Arch in Acute Type A Aortic Dissection: A Meta-Analysis of Short Term Outcomes and Long Term Actuarial Survival
CONCLUSION: PAR appears to lead to an improved early mortality rate and a reduced complication rate. In the current meta-analysis, the suggestion of an improved 10 year survival benefit of TAR was found, which should be interpreted in the context of potential confounders such as age at presentation, comorbidities, and haemodynamic stability. In any case, PAR seems to be intuitive in older patients with limited dissections, and in those presenting in less stable conditions.PMID:35379543 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2021.12.045

Endovascular Repair of Complicated Type B Aortic Intramural Haematoma: A Single Centre Long Term Experience
CONCLUSION: Complicated type B IMH can be treated effectively by TEVAR, thus preventing death from aortic rupture. However, severe early post-operative complications, most importantly stroke, are of concern. Long term outcomes are excellent, although re-interventions are not uncommon, either for progression of proximal or distal aortic disease or due to stent graft related complications.PMID:34924300 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejvs.2021.09.045
