Safety and feasibility of minimally invasive coronary artery bypass surgery early after drug eluting stent implantation due to acute coronary syndrome
CONCLUSIONS: EACAB is a safe and feasible method of LAD revascularization in patients who received DES for ACS within 180 days prior to surgery, despite early dual antiplatelet therapy discontinuation. The adverse event rate is low and acceptable.PMID:36929299 | DOI:10.33963/KP.a2023.0066

A comparison of clinical characteristics, the in-hospital course, and 12-month prognosis in women and men with chronic coronary syndromes.
Conclusions: Women and men with CCS differ in the incidence of risk factors and revascularization treatments. Men were found to have a higher frequency of 12-month death and composite endpoint follow-up. However, sex is not independent predictor of 12-month outcomes. Long-term clinical outcomes in patients with unstable angina undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions in a contemporary registry data from Poland
Conclusion Three-year prognosis in unstable angina was considerable better in comparison with NSTEMI. On the contrary, after adjustment for baseline differences, the outcomes (death, MI, MACE) in unstable angina and stable angina patients were comparable.

Myocardial bridges - occurrence and clinical presentations based on the Polish national ORPKI registry and CRCD classification.
CONCLUSIONS: Patients with MB were comparatively younger, had fewer comorbidities and risk factors for atherosclerosis. Occurrence of MB was more common among patients with stable coronary artery disease. Cigarette usage and female sex were factors, which appeared to be the cause of the more clinical symptomatic presence of MB. PMID: 30835330 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Predictors of periprocedural complications in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary interventions within coronary bypass grafts.
CONCLUSIONS: Percutaneous coronary interventions of SVG is associated with increased risk of specific periprocedural complications. The ACS, slower TIMI flow before PCI and thrombectomy significantly increase the periprocedural complication rate in patients undergoing PCI of SVG. PMID: 29671862 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

The impact of previous percutaneous coronary interventions on the course and clinical outcomes of coronary artery bypass grafting.
CONCLUSIONS: "Stent-loaded" patients undergo more time-consuming coronary artery bypass grafting with higher number of grafts. Furthermore, they have higher long-term mortality, but similar grafts patency and in-hospital mortality/morbidity. PMID: 29399760 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Early and long term coronary artery bypass grafting outcomes in patients under 45 years of age.
CONCLUSIONS: Young women who underwent CABG were burdened with higher early postoperative morbidity and mortality than young men. However, long-term outcomes (mortality, recurrent angina, and repeated myocardial revascularisation rates) did not differ significantly between the two groups. Regardless of gender, repeated myocardial revascularisation rate was significantly higher among those patients who continued to smoke after the surgery (p < 0.01).
