Measuring Pain in Aphasia: Validity and Reliability of the PACSLAC-D
Post-stroke pain in patients with an inability to communicate is not systematically assessed and therefore not sufficiently treated. This stresses the need to study pain assessment instruments that do not require good communication skills.

911 Calls for Emergency Medical Services in Heart Failure: A Descriptive Qualitative Study
Conclusions Overall, symptoms and signs of HF exacerbation were common reasons to activate 911 calls. Falls were frequently reported. Under the duress of the emergent situations surrounding the 911 call, callers rarely mentioned the existence of HF. Interventions are needed to guide patients with HF and their family members to promote the management of HF to reduce EMS activation as well as to activate EMS quickly for acute changes in HF conditions.

Self ‐care agency, lifestyle, and physical condition predict future frailty in community‐dwelling older people
Abstract The purpose of this 2 year longitudinal study was to identify the relationship between self‐care agency, lifestyle, physical condition, and frailty among community‐dwelling older people in a rural area of Japan. The participants were 133 older individuals aged 65 years or above. Data collection was conducted via face‐to‐face interviews using self‐administered questionnaires. A Comprehensive Review of Central Post-Stroke Pain
Although central post-stroke pain is widely recognized as a severe chronic neuropathic pain condition, its consolidated definition, clinical characteristics, and diagnostic criteria have not been defined due to its clinically diverse features. The present study was undertaken to comprehensively review current literature and provide a more complete picture of central post-stroke pain with respect to its definition, prevalence, pathophysiology, clinical characteristics, and diagnostic problems, and to describe the range of therapies currently available.
