E-115 Trans-radial versus trans-femoral access routes for diagnostic cerebral angiograms: a large single-center comparative cost-analysis study
ConclusionOverall, our study shows that the TR approach can be less a less expensive option for patients undergoing diagnostic cerebral angiograms, especially if complications occur. O-007 Bridging thrombolysis yields diminished benefit among elderly stroke patients treated with endovascular thrombectomy
ConclusionsBridging thrombolysis may be associated with better outcomes in a real-world setting; however, this association is diminished among elderly patients due to higher rates of hemorrhagic complications. P-005 Predictors for large vessel recanalization before stroke thrombectomy
ConclusionsIVT at least 1.5 hours before angiography, site of vascular occlusion, atrial fibrillation, and hyperlipidemia are independent predictors for LVR. ConclusionTranscranial ultrasound through large, customized sonolucent cranioplasty is safe and feasible after decompressive hemicraniectomy. AbstractProviding intravenous (IV) fluids to a patient with signs or symptoms of hypoperfusion is common. However, evaluating the IV fluid ‘dose–response’ curve of the heart is elusive. Two patients were studied in the emergency department with a wireless, wearable Doppler ultrasound system. Change in the common carotid arterial and internal jugular Doppler spectrograms were simultaneously obtained as surrogates of left ventricul ar stroke volume (SV) and central venous pressure (CVP), respectively. Evaluation of extended-length cannula inserted using ultrasound guidance in patients with difficult IV access
This article reports on the results of introducing extended-length PIVCs, inserted using ultrasound guidance in patients with DIVA by a vascular access team. This began in 2019, across an adult tertiary hospital setting in the NHS with about 750 beds. The specialties at this hospital include, but are not limited to, emergency medicine; head and neck; vascular; diabetes and endocrinology; respiratory; care of the older person; stroke services; gastroenterology; and trauma and orthopaedics.
