Risk Factors, Clinical Presentation, and Neuroimaging Findings of Neonatal Perforator Stroke Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Previously described risk factors for developing neonatal main artery stroke are probably also associated with neonatal perforator stroke. Perforator stroke is often asymptomatic, but cranial ultrasound is a reliable diagnostic tool in diagnosing perforator stroke.

Orosomucoid, Carotid Plaque, and Incidence of Stroke Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Elevated levels of orosomucoid are associated with increased occurrence of carotid plaque and increased incidence of ischemic stroke. The combination of high orosomucoid and carotid plaque substantially increase the risk of stroke.

Incident Stroke Is Associated With Common Carotid Artery Diameter and Not Common Carotid Artery Intima-Media Thickness Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Although common carotid IMT is not associated with stroke, interadventitial diameter of the common carotid artery is independently associated with first-time incident ischemic stroke even after adjusting for IMT. Ultrasonographic measurements of the metacarpal and talar cartilage thicknesses in hemiplegic patients after stroke.

Intra- and inter-rater reliabilities of measurement of ultrasound imaging for muscle thickness and pennation angle of tibialis anterior muscle in stroke patients.
CONCLUSION: These finding demonstrate that measurements of the tibialis anterior muscle using USI can be useful for clinical assessment in stroke patients. In addition, objective and quantitative measurements of tibialis anterior muscle using USI may provide appropriate management for the walking recovery of stroke patients. Diagnostic Yield of Pelvic Magnetic Resonance Venography in Patients With Cryptogenic Stroke and Patent Foramen Ovale Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Among patients with ischemic stroke/transient ischemic attack and patent foramen ovale, the majority of detected DVTs were in LE veins rather than the pelvic veins and did not differ by stroke subtype. The routine inclusion of pelvic magnetic resonance venography in the diagnostic evaluation of CS warrants further prospective investigation.

Impaired mechanical properties of Achilles tendon in spastic stroke survivors: an observational study.
CONCLUSION: There is a decrement in Achilles tendon morphological and mechanical properties of the affected limb in individuals with spasticity due to stroke. Efficacy of therapeutic ultrasound and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation compared with botulinum toxin type a in the treatment of spastic equinus in adults with chronic stroke: a pilot randomized controlled trial.
